Lithuanian embassy in Kyiv to act as NATO contact embassy in 2015-2016
KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax) - The Lithuanian Embassy to Ukraine is to assume the role of a NATO contact embassy in 2015-2016, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said.
On January 28, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius will be in Ukraine on a working visit, he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"The purpose of the visit is the assuming by the Lithuanian Embassy to Ukraine of the role as a NATO contact embassy for the 2015-2016 period," Perebyinis said.
The Lithuanian minister will also meet with the country's leaders, his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimin and attend a conference on "NATO and Ukraine: prospects and opportunities."
