Kremlin chief of staff says it is strange to observe WWII end anniversary in Gdansk
OSWIECIM. Jan 28 (Interfax) - Russian presidential chief of staff Sergei Ivanov has called strange the Polish proposal to observe an anniversary of the end of WWII in Gdansk.
"In my opinion, it is somewhat strange to mark a victory anniversary in Gdansk. This proposal is part of the attempts to adjust and retouch history, but it is very hard to defeat the truth," Ivanov said at a press conference in Oswiecim on Tuesday.
He noted that the war started in Gdansk.
