Ukrainian army loses three men killed, 15 wounded over past day

KYIV. Jan 28 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army lost three men killed and 15 injured in eastern Ukraine over the past day, acting spokesman for the Ukrainian General Staff Vladyslav Seleznyov said.

"Ukraine lost three servicemen killed in the attacks of militants and another 15 servicemen suffered injuries of varying degrees. All of them were taken to hospital and given medical attendance," Seleznyov said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

A total of 366 servicemen are receiving hospital treatment at present, and 15 of them are in grave condition, Seleznyov said.

He added that tensions persisted in Donbas and the militia shelled 55 populated localities in the past 24 hours.
