Meeting of Belarus-Russia Union Supreme State Council set for March 3 - Lukashenko
MINSK. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The next session of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union has been set for March 3, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said.
"I negotiated March 3 as its date. If no serious events or disturbances happen, the Supreme Council will meet on March 3," Lukashenko said at a press conference in Minsk on Thursday.
The Belarusian president also said that he, as chairman of the Supreme State Council, had proposed putting "significant issues" - both political and economic - of Belarusian-Russian relations on the meeting's agenda.
"Our top priority includes the significant issues of relations between Belarus and Russia. I demanded that they be included in the agenda," he said.
