Assad's fate not discussed at Moscow consultations - source

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax - A Russian diplomatic source sees it as a good sign that the future of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was not discussed at the recent inter-Syrian consultations in Moscow.

"Nobody harped on the subject of Assad, and this is good, because if this issue is raised, the parties immediately dig their heels in. Therefore, it's right, and the opposition that was present didn't raise this issue," he said.

The source suggested that the resolution of the matter has been postponed.
