Kyiv's continued shelling to push militia offensive to administrative borders - Pushilin
MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR, respectively) are ready to continue the counter-offensive to as far as the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, if Kyiv continues shelling.
"If the negotiating process is broken, and Kyiv continues shelling, we reserve the right to continue the offensive and reach the frontiers of the proper former Donetsk and Luhansk regions," DPR representative Denis Pushilin told reporters.
For his part, LPR representative Vladislav Deinego told reporters the counter-offensive was a forced measure, and did not rule out more casualties.
"The situation has now been extremely aggravated. Unfortunately, more casualties are inevitable. Kyiv is very much to blame," he said.
