Civilian killed in Ukrainian shelling attack on a town - Luhansk republic

LUHANSK. Feb 1 (Interfax) - A civilian was injured when Ukrainian forces used a multiple rocket launcher to shell the town of Bryanka in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, Luhansk Information Center reported citing deputy of the republic's People's Council, Vitaly Morozov.

The town of Bryanka was targeted in a massive shelling attack, presumably with the use of an Uragan multiple rocket launcher, at about 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to Morozov.

"One civilian was injured. He was hospitalized. Luckily, there were no fatalities," he said.

"Part of a private house and its roof were damaged. An electric substation providing electricity to a residential area was partially destroyed. Fragments of cluster shells hit a square between residential buildings. We are examining the scene, removing fragments and waiting for sappers to arrive and remove the unexploded shells which can be seen projected from the ground in the courtyard of a house," according to Morozov.
