Ambassador: Moscow, Ankara working on technical dimension of Turkish Stream project

MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Turkey has yet to make a final decision on issuing a permit for building the Turkish Stream gas pipeline but the sides are already working on technical dimensions for this project, Turkish Ambassador in Moscow Umit Yardim said.

"Russian and Turkish sides are working on the technical side of this project and our interaction will be continued. The issue of a permit is a minor element of this project but a final decision regarding it has yet to be made," he said at a press conference on Thursday, answering a question of Interfax.

The ambassador stressed the importance of energy cooperation with Russia. "We see our energy cooperation as crucial," he stated.
