Health Ministry: imported products make up over 70% of Russia's pharmaceutical market

UFA. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Imported products account for over 70% of Russia's pharmaceutical market in value terms, First Deputy Health Minister Igor Kagramanyan said.

"The volume of the pharmaceutical market in our country totaled over 900 billion rubles in 2014 and the market in pharmaceutical products totaled 200 billion rubles. Imported products made up over 70% of this market in value terms," Kagramanyan said in Ufa on Tuesday at a meeting on anticrisis measures in the healthcare sector, which was chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
