Number of monitors in Ukraine to rise to 500 by late February
KYIV. Feb 5 (Interfax) - The number of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) members will grow to 500 by the end of February, according to Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug.
He said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday that the mission had grown to 350 observers in the Donetsk and Luhansk region.
In all, the mission currently employs 413 international monitors, Hug said.
