Siberian Anthracite boost production by 4% in 2014
NOVOSIBIRSK. Feb 6 (Interfax) - CJSC Siberian Anthracite (Sibanthracite, in the Novosibirsk region), which is controlled by the Alltech Group of Dmitry Bosov, in 2014 produced 5.3 million tonnes of anthracite against 5.1 million tonnes in 2013, the company's corporate publication said.
Therefore, production last year increased by 4%.
It was also noted that since January 1 of this year there has been personnel changes: the former head of Sibanthracite, Boris Voloboyev, was demoted to the post of advisor to the CEO, giving the post to Dmitry Shatokhin, who was earlier the chairman of the company's board of directors.
"We must resolve serious tasks, presented by shareholders, in difficult market conditions. It was decided to change the structure of the company and reform the system of management of the enterprise. The goal of these changes is to increase production and raise the effectiveness of the company's work," Shatokhin was cited as saying.
At present the company is implementing the third stage of their investment program, which was calculated for 2013-2019, with investment volumes of 30 billion rubles. In the framework of the project it is planned to build another coal washing plant and a railway branch for employees at Linevo.
The investment program was launched back in 2006 with the aim of creating the largest coal mining and processing hub in the Novosibirsk region with capacity for up to 9.5 million tonnes of anthracite per year.
Sibanthracite is the largest coal producing enterprise of the Novosibirsk region. It holds licenses for the development of sections of the Gorlovskoye, Urgunskoye and Kolyvanskoye fields of the Gorlovsky coal deposit. Confirmed commercial reserves exceed 250 million tonnes of anthracite.
