Coastal defense brigade practicing at Crimean highland range
SEVASTOPOL. Feb 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Units of the Black Sea Fleet coastal defense brigade are practicing at the Angarsky range in the Crimean highlands, Black Sea Fleet spokesman Capt. 1st Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev told Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
"More than 600 servicemen and approximately 50 pieces of hardware, many of which have been procured lately, are participating in the drill," the officer said.
The training range had not been used for a long time but range support units rapidly prepared it for the exercises and special training missions, he added.
Units of the separate coastal defense brigade of the Black Sea Fleet supervised by Col. Sergei Storozhenko, which was formed in 2014, have held a tactical company drill and live fire exercises of its platoons, Trukhachev said.
