Putin puts pressure on militia leaders, no ultimatum to Poroshenko - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has confirmed German Chancellor Angela Merkel's claim that Vladimir Putin had exerted pressure on the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk leaders, Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky, respectively, at talks in Minsk, the Dozhd television channel reported on Thursday.

At the same time he dismissed the Ukrainian president's remarks that he was presented with all sorts of ultimatums during the overnight four-nation summit.

"The talks were tough and very emotional," Peskov was quoted as saying by Dozhd.
