Pushilin: DPR, LPR to demand non-aligned status of Ukraine, end of army operation

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics will demand that Kyiv comply with the additional terms alongside the provisions of the Minsk document in order to achieve military-political stabilization in Donbas.

First and foremost, the republics are insisting on the cancellation of every decision of the Ukrainian political and military leadership regarding the army operation in Donbas, DPR chief negotiator in Minsk Denis Pushilin told Interfax.

"Any genuine reconciliation will be impossible a long as these shameful and criminal decisions and orders which have led to the deaths of thousands of people and horrible damage are in effect. Their [decisions'] cancellation would be an act of repentance by the ruling Kyiv oligarchs, and the people of Donbas will decide whether to forgive them or not," Pushilin said.

He also said that the DPR and the LPR would insist on a non-aligned status of Ukraine.
