Head of self-proclaimed Luhansk republic urges Germany, France to press on Kyiv to abide by Minsk accords

LUHANSK. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Germany and France should prompt Kyiv to comply with the Minsk agreements of February 12, says Ihor Plotnytsky, the head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk people's republic (LPR).

"If Ukraine is not prepared to comply with the entire Package of Measures, let the guarantors that made Ukraine sign this Package put some pressure on it. Let France and Germany make Ukraine implement what Ms. Merkel and Mr. Hollande have proposed," Plotnytsky said at a news briefing in Luhansk on Wednesday.

"Therefore, if Ukraine doesn't implement [the Minsk agreements], we have the guarantors who we can address," he added.
