Evraz by 2018 may triple rail exports to 200,000 tonnes a year
NOVOKUZNETSK. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Evraz is seeing the opportunity to increase the export supplies of rails produced by Evraz ZSMK, an enterprise belonging to Evraz Group, in three years to 200,000 tonnes a year, Evraz Vice President and Steel Division Director Alexei Ivanov told Interfax.
Ivanov said that with a good market situation, the company is seeing a potential opportunity to reach this indicator by 2018. "We think that in three years we can export up to 200,000 tonnes of rails a year," he said.
This year rail exports are planned to reach 60,000 tonnes. Thus, by 2018 export supplies may grow by three times in comparison with 2015.
The increase in exports will be provided by an expansion of the company's presence in Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe.
