No obstacle left to heavy weapons withdrawal in Donbas - Duma deputy

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - After the completion of the Donbas militia's military operation in Debaltseve, nothing should obstruct the withdrawal of heavy weapons by the conflicting parties, says Alexei Pushkov, the head of the Russian State Duma international affairs committee.

"The Debaltseve problem wasn't solved in Minsk, Kyiv left it out of sight. Now it's over. Nothing should obstruct the withdrawal of heavy weapons," Pushkov said on Twitter on Saturday.

The self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR) defense ministry reported the completion of the main phase of military activities and stabilization of the situation on its territory on Thursday.

Eduard Basurin of the DPR defense ministry said on Friday that the militia would submit its plan of heavy weapons withdrawals to the OSCE on Saturday.
