CNN will be issued new registration certificate this week - Roskomnadzor

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The television channel CNN will receive a new Russian media registration certificate this week, Roskomnadzor press officer Vadim Ampelonsky said on Tuesday.

"The new registration certificate confirming CNN's registration as a media organization on the territory of Russia has been included in the appropriate order, which should be signed this week," Ampelonsky said.

Ampelonsky said the certificate will be included in the package of documents the television channel will be required to submit to obtain a universal license, which will enable CNN to resume broadcasts to Russia.
