Rosenergoatom's firm to conduct engineering surveys at site of Bangladesh NPP

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - CJSC Orgenergostroy, which is based in Moscow, will conduct engineering surveys, monitoring of the environment and the development of the project documentation for the site of the Ruppur nuclear power plant (NPP) in Bangladesh.

The website of purchases of Rosatom said that Orgenergostroy was named the winner of a relevant tender. The price of the bid was $16.2 million (with VAT).

Orgenergostroy's website said that the company engages in different types of R&D, structural, scientific, technological and innovative work for power facilities (including NPPs, thermal power plants, hydropower plants, power transmission lines), the oil and gas complex, oil transport and other power and industrial facilities. According to the SPARK-Interfax database, as at October 8, 2014, Orgenergostroy belonged to the subsidiary of OJSC Rosenergoatom Concern, CJSC Atomtekhexport.

At the end of December Moscow-based OJSC Atomenergoproekt announced a tender for engineering surveying for the stage of project documentation for the NPP project in Bangladesh. The initial cost of the agreement was $18.2 million (with VAT).

Work is expected to be completed before September 15, 2015.

It was reported earlier that Russia and Bangladesh are drafting a contract for the conclusion of work on the preparatory stage of the Ruppur NPP. The start of equipping the station is expected at the end of 2015.
