OSCE mission reports withdrawal of militia's hardware in eastern Ukraine

BRUSSELS. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Militia forces of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) withdrew 16 unmarked military trucks towing howitzers from the village of Makiyivka, located 12 kilometers east of Donetsk, the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE SSM) said in a report, published on Wednesday.

"At 13:10 hrs, the SMM saw a convoy consisting of ten unmarked military trucks towing howitzers" from the village Amvrosiyivka, located 57 kilometers south-east of Donetsk, it said.

The OSCE mission also received "copies of schedules for the gradual withdrawal of heavy weapons" from the self-proclaimed republics and the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The SMM, however, also reported several ceasefire breaches in the south-east of Ukraine.
