Communists to take part in Kazakhstan's early presidential election

ASTANA. March 4 (Interfax) - The Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan (KNPK) has decided to take part in the country's early presidential election.

The decision was made at an extraordinary party meeting in Astana on Wednesday, an Interfax correspondent said.

Congressional delegates voted unanimously for the decision.

They also voted unanimously in favor of Turgun Syzdykov as their candidate.

Kazakhstan's early presidential election is due on April 26.
