Nine arrested for treason, espionage in Moscow in just over one year - court

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Moscow City Court has said that nine people were arrested in the capital on treason and espionage charges from January 1, 2014 to March 3, 2015.

"Over the period, seven remand orders were issued with respect to the individuals accused of treason. Another two were with respect to the individuals charged with espionage," Moscow City Court spokeswoman Ulyana Solopova told Interfax.

The court did not issue any verdicts on such cases during the period, she added.
