DPR militia start withdrawing mortars from contact line in Donbas on Saturday

DONETSK. March 7 (Interfax) - The militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR) is starting to withdraw mortars from the line of contact in eastern Ukraine.

"The mortars will be pulled back today. The OSCE mission will be present during the hardware withdrawal," Eduard Basurin of the DPR defense ministry told Interfax on Saturday.

The DPR defense ministry press service said the ministry and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) would calculate the exact amount of hardware withdrawn to the rear on Saturday.

"The OSCE and the defense ministry will make the final calculation of the weapons withdrawn and then publicize the figures today," the Donetsk news agency said with reference to the defense ministry press service.
