Ukraine's heavy warms pullout nearing completion - military

KYIV. March 7 (Interfax) - Complying with the Minsk Agreements Ukraine is completing the heavy arms pullout from the separation line in Donbas, said Col. Valentyn Fedychev, deputy chief of staff of the military operation in eastern Ukraine.

"We are completing the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the separation line in compliance with the Minsk Agreements," the press service of the Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration quoted Fedychev as saying on Saturday.

He said that the militia continues shelling and assault attacks on Ukrainian forces.

The opposing side violated the Minsk Agreements 46 times between 5 a.m. March 6 and 5 .m. March 7, and carried out three assault attacks on Ukrainian positions. All attacks were repelled, Fedychev said.

He also said that the opposing armed formations used mortars 14 times and artillery systems once.

"The documented use of artillery systems gives us the right to assert that the militants have not fully implemented the Minsk Agreements on the withdrawal of heavy weapons with a larger than 100 millimeter caliber," Fedychev said.

Trains keep bringing artillery ammunition, including rockets for multiple rocket launchers, to the railway station Debaltseve, he said.
