Donbas expects another humanitarian convoy from Russia
DONETSK. March 11 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic expects another humanitarian convoy from Russia on March 19.
"A humanitarian convoy from Russia carrying 800 tonnes of flour and 400 tonnes of preserves will arrive on March 19," Igor Bilodid, deputy head of the rebuilding management center of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said.
Bilodid recalled that 84 tonnes of food was brought to Debaltseve on March 8. "Amvrosiyevka will receive 40 tonnes of flour today. Horlivka received 100 tonnes of food a month ago," he said.
Russian Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Stepanov earlier told a press conference the 19th humanitarian convoy will be sent to Donbas on Thursday, March 19.
On March 7, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry convoy brought over 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the families of the miners who were killed or hurt in the explosion in the Zasyadko mine.
On March 4, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's 18th convoy delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk.
