Russian AgMin looking for ways to ease food embargo on Greece, Hungary, Cyprus - Fyodorov

GORKI. March 11 (Interfax) - The Russian Agriculture Ministry is looking for ways to ease the food embargo on several EU countries, Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov told reporters in Gorki on Wednesday.

Fyodorov added that this concerned countries affected by Russia's food embargo, particularly Greece, Hungary and Cyprus.

"We are in intense discussions on different possibilities to answer the question of whether we can find a positive answer to the farming sector and political establishments of a number of countries as concerns liberalizing shipments of their products to our market," he said.

"We are actively investigating the civilized capabilities of a positive response to their requests. If we help them, we don't want to create problems for them in their relations with Brussels," Fyodorov noted.
