NATO claims of Russian military presence in Donbas escalate situation - militia

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR, respectively) have dismissed reports about Russian arms supplies to Donbas.

"All this is nonsense, there was and is no question about supplies," DPR people's council speaker Andriy Purgin told Interfax.

"All this is escalation of the situation, which only aggravates the humanitarian disaster and tightens the blockade of Donbas and military pressure, and is absolutely not conducive to a peaceful resolution," he said.

Claims that Russia is supplying weapons to Donbas has also been dismissed by LPR leaders supplies

"I know nothing about such supplies," LPR official negotiator Vladislav Deinego told Interfax.

Earlier on Wednesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg renewed his attack on Russia, accusing it of military presence in Donbas. He told reporters that NATO was still seeing Russia backing separatists by providing them with weapons.
