Iran nuclear talks gain momentum, solutions may be found next week - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Russia is happy with the progress of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program; it thinks the talks have gained momentum and solutions may be found next week, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax.

"Two rounds held in various formats, including meetings of all negotiators representing the P5+1 group and Iran, and recent bilateral and trilateral contacts have given impetus to the process. We are basically satisfied with the work done lately," he said.

"There is no guarantee but it is possible that main solutions will be found or, as diplomats say, the climax will be reached next week," the senior diplomat stated.

Ryabkov admitted the existence of some problems in the negotiating process.

"We realize that every step, which brings us closer to the goal, is more difficult than the previous one. That is the law of negotiations. To an extent, it is similar with sport records: every centimeter added to the height of the bar is more difficult for a high jumper to jump over. Probably, this is a valid comparison," the diplomat said.
