Russia to send two more aid convoys in March - ministry
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry is planning to send more humanitarian aid to southeastern Ukraine before the end of this month.
"We are planning to send two more humanitarian aid convoys to the southeast of Ukraine before the end of March, namely on March 19 and 26. This will be the 20th column to deliver staple foods, medication, building materials for residents of the southeast, i.e. everything that people need in the first place," Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Stepanov told reporters on Thursday.
Nearly 25,000 tonnes of aid has been delivered by Russia to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions since last August, he recalled.
