Russian Interior Ministry exposes sham insurance schemes in agro-industrial sector

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The Interior Ministry has exposed a sham insurance scheme in the agro-industrial sector, the Russian Interior Ministry press service has reported.

The damage done by the scheme is estimated at half a billion rubles, the report says.

"A scheme used for stealing money provided as state support for agriculture by signing sham loan insurance contracts with agricultural manufacturers has been exposed. The damage done to the state in 2013-2014 is estimated at over 550 million rubles," the Interior Ministry press center told Interfax on Thursday.
