Some 97-98% Crimean Tatars get Russian passports - Aksyonov
MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - Some 3,000 residents of Crimea decided not to get Russian passports, Sergei Aksyonov, the head of the Republic of Crimea, said on Rossiya 1 television.
Aksyonov said most of these people are citizens of Ukraine. "These people are mainly citizens of Ukraine. Very few of them are Crimean Tatars. I think there are some 500 people," Aksyonov said.
Aksyonov said some 97-98%," Crimean Tatars have received Russian citizenship.
Aksyonov reiterated that there is no problem with Crimean Tatars on the peninsula.
