Potential EU supply of weapons to Kyiv, irresponsible, illegitimate step - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - Russia cautions the European Union that a decision to supply weapons in Ukraine would be an irresponsible and illegitimate step.

"We are warning all our partners in the EU that the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine would be an irresponsible and illegitimate step and it would have the most serious consequences for security on the entire European continent," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov said at a parliamentary hearing on Russia-EU relations.
