Alekperov confident gov't will allow Schlumberger to buy Eurasia Drilling

MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - Lukoil chief Vagit Alekperov is confident that the purchase of oil services Eurasia Drilling Company by Schlumberger will be approved by the government.

"I don't understand why there are delays in the agreement on this deal. I am confident that the government will give permission for the acquisition," Alekperov told journalists.

He said that Schlumberger is currently fulfilling all its obligations with regard to Russian clients.
