BPC concludes contract on potash supplies to China in H1 at $315 per tonne
MINSK. March 19 (Interfax) - Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) has concluded a contract on potash supplies to China in the first half of 2015 at $315 per tonne, the company said.
"JSC Belarusian Potash Company reports on the accord reached with the Consortium of the Chinese buyers regarding a price increase to $315 per tonne CFR for shipments to China in 2015. It has been reached in the course of prolonged talks; while all the major factors affecting the Chinese economy and the global market in general have been taken into consideration: declining oil prices, decelerating growth rates of the Chinese economy, deflation, etc.," the company said.
That price is higher than last year's by $10 per tonne.
Sources on the market told Interfax that the rise in potash in 2015 in comparison with 2014 by $10 per tonne was approved on March 19. The source said that for now the volumes of potash supplies to China in 2015 are not being disclosed.
