There is no military solution to Ukrainian crisis - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. March 20 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said the Ukrainian crisis can only be resolved using diplomatic methods based on the principles of international law.

"The solution to the situation in Ukraine [should be] diplomatic, there is no military solution to this problem. It is important that any decisions that will be made should be based on the fundamental principles of international law," he said after negotiations with the presidents of Russia and Belarus in Astana on Friday.

"We are interested in Ukraine remaining a stable and independent state and its territorial integrity," Nazarbayev said.
