Refusing security cooperation with Russia would be historical error - Mogherini
BRUSSELS. March 20 (Interfax) - The head of the European Union diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, has warned against underestimating the fruit of cooperation with Russia on many complicated issues on the world stage.
Speaking at a Brussels forum on Friday, she said that it would be a historical error to discard all the efforts made in recent years, such as START III (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) and all (nuclear) disarmament and non-proliferation agreements.
The architecture of European security is one interest that we share, she said.
Mogherini also said that the talks over Iran's nuclear program were one of the areas where cooperation between Russia, America, Europe and China is working and effective.
