National Coalition to not attend 2nd round of inter-Syrian consultations in Moscow

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The National Coalition for Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces will take no part in the second round of informal consultations of the Syrian opposition in Moscow, the coalition's political bureau member Badr Jamus said.

"We will not come to Moscow because our comments on the first round have not been taken into consideration," he told Interfax.

The organizers of the consultations "are repeating their mistakes, which, in our opinion, will prevent the meeting from being fruitful," he said.

"The agenda of the meeting has not been determined, and persons whom we see as supporters of the regime rather than opposition members have been invited. We do not know who else has been invited because we have not received a list of participants. So, the meeting will be an end in itself and [therefore,] futile," he added.
