Some 140 Ukraine National Guard soldiers killed in Donbas operation - deputy commander
KYIV. March 24 (Interfax) - As many as 136 soldiers of Ukraine's National Guard have been killed in the army operation in the south-east of the country, National Guard Deputy Commander Yaroslav Spodar told a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"Over the period of the anti-terrorist operation, the irrecoverable losses of the National Guard include 136 people who have been killed, while another 48 remain unaccounted for, and, according to our estimates, 20 are being held in captivity," he said.
Up to 2,120 National Guard soldiers have already received the status of participants in the army operation, Spodar said.
