Shuvalov's anticrisis commission discusses export simplification issues
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The anticrisis commission led by First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov discussed the issue of simplifying - and possibly liberalizing - exports at a meeting on Tuesday.
"The Federal Customs Service (FCS) made a report. It is working on a road map and in a certain period has reduced the number of documents required of exporters and reduced the time to complete document formalities," a representative of Shuvalov's secretariat told journalists.
Further steps are needed to improve export procedures, including receipt of export licenses and streamlining customs procedures, the representative said.
"We understand that in the current difficult economic situation, it will be a lot more difficult for us," the representative said.
Work on organization of a "one-window" system for exporters continues, and Shuvalov called for discussing this issue publicly with experts and with the leading participants in foreign economic activity.
