Capital amnesty bill to be discussed with FATF - Medvedev

MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - The bill on capital amnesty will be discussed with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) after it has been approved by the government, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.

"As soon as this bill is passed by the government, we will discuss this topic with international experts, including FATF representatives," Medvedev said at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday.

"The law is complex and requires more serious discussion within the State Duma and Federation Council, and naturally a competent opinion from the FATF. And there will clearly be various issues with its application, which is why I'd like for everyone responsible for passing the bill to work closely with [the FATF]," Medvedev added.
