Moscow willing to develop relations with future Israeli govt - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - Moscow is determined to develop friendly relations with the future Israeli government, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said at a news briefing in Moscow on Thursday.

He mentioned the fact that the Likud party led by incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came in first in early parliamentary elections in Israel on March 15.

"Moscow is willing to develop multifaceted and mutually beneficial relations with a future Israeli government in the spirit of our longstanding friendship and mutual respect binding our countries. We view Israel as a partner playing a significant role on the international arena," he said.
