Mysterious disease kills lambs in southern Azerbaijan
MASALLI, Azerbaijan. March 26 (Interfax) - An unknown disease affecting small livestock has been registered in the Masalli district in southern Azerbaijan.
The disease affects the eyes and intestines of lambs that refuse to take their mothers' milk and then they die within two or three days, local farmers said.
More than 30 lambs have already died from the mysterious disease.
The Masalli district veterinary agency is taking measures to contain the disease but it continues to spread.
