Kyiv denies accusations of failure to observe weapons withdrawal

KYIV. March 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has denied the allegations by representatives of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR that Ukraine is not observing the process of heavy weapons withdrawal and, for their part, accused the self-proclaimed republics of breaching the agreements.

"The only independent source of information on the withdrawal is the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, which is satisfied with the interaction with Ukraine. There are problems with the LPR and the DPR," Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Vadim Pristaiko said on Twitter on Thursday.

Responding to a question about statement by Alexander Zakharchenko, the head of the DPR, who said the DPR will return its withdrawn hardware to the frontline if Ukraine does not withdraw its heavy weapons, the diplomat said: "Ultimatum after ultimatum. Operative coordination of signals with the Russian Foreign Ministry."
