Former head of Ukraine State Emergency Service Bochkovsky may be released on Saturday

KYIV. March 27 (Interfax) - The Kyiv Pechora District Court has turned down the Interior Ministry's request for the arrest of former head of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service Serhiy Bochkovsky.

In the opinion of Judge Iryna Lytvynova, the ministry did not present sufficient evidence of the crime, an Interfax correspondent reported.

A prosecutor said Bochkovsky was detained for 72 hours and that period would expire at noon, on Saturday.
