Kremlin spokesman denies presence of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has once again denied allegations that Russian troops are present in southeastern Ukraine.

"We say openly that what some Russian media are saying - and they are free to say this - we categorically deny this," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said at a roundtable conference on Tuesday when asked by a Ukrainian journalist about the presence of Russian troops in Donbas.

"And what is most important is that this has also been denied by international observers and that this has also been denied by officials in Kyiv. That's the point," Peskov said.
