GAZ may receive state guarantees for 16 bln rubles, UTair - 19 bln rubles - Ulyukayev
NOVO-OGARYOVO. Apr 1 (Interfax) - The Russian authorities on Friday will consider requests for state guarantees totaling 40 billion rubles, including from Russian airlines, Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said.
"We are considering request at the commission on the provision of guarantees and the general situation at these companies. The two major producers are the automobile manufacturer - GAZ and airline - Utair (MOEX:UTAR)," Ulyukayev said at a meeting with the president and members of government on Wednesday.
"We determined the possible number of guarantees that will be provided. This, correspondingly, is about 16 billion rubles for GAZ Group and about 19 billion rubles for UTair airline," Ulyukayev said.
He said that the commission is considering several applications already. "On the day after tomorrow they will be reviewed. This includes such companies as Ural Airlines, Altaivagon, Sukhoi Civilian Aircraft, in the amount of about 40 billion rubles," Ulyukayev said.
He said that these measures will allow for the support of the main sectors of the Russian economy.
