DPR reports attack on OSCE monitors
SPARTAK. Apr 2 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) militia has alleged a Ukrainian attack on OSCE monitors in the town of Spartak.
"The OSCE was recording damages. The shooting started as soon as they arrived. One shot was fired from a tank," DPR Defense Ministry officer Eduard Basurin told reporters on Thursday.
In his words, the OSCE monitors visited the town to control the observation of truce.
"Their primary objective was to check on the truce. Also, OSCE mission Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug asked whether all [bodies of] Ukrainian servicemen had been taken away from the Donetsk airport," Basurin said.
Interfax has yet to obtain comment from Ukraine and the OSCE monitors.
