Decision not yet made on changing tariff indexation starting July 1, changes still might occur - Novikov
MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - No decision has been made yet on changing tariff indexation starting July 1, but this does not mean that changing will not be made, the head of Russia's Federal Tariff Service, Sergei Novikov, told reporters on Thursday.
"We haven't made any decisions as of yet, and generally speaking, if we are referring to companies, there have not been any requests that would presume changes starting July 1," he said, adding that requests could theoretically be made since it is only the beginning of April.
"I reiterate once more that I don't know anything about anyone planning or not planning any systemic review [of indexation parameters] beginning July 1," he said.
Concerning the proposal from Russian Grids to move the indexation scheduled for July to April, Novikov said the matter involved technicalities having to do with the calculation of the grid component of already approved tariffs, without changing their final size. This topic hasn't been completed yet. The draft government resolution is currently located with Cabinet. "If it is approved, we will make [technical] adjustments from July 1," he said.
