Medvedev signs directive to nominate Andrei Zharkov as Alrosa president

KHABAROVSK. April 4 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had a brief meeting with Yegor Borisov, the head of Yakutia's administration, and Andrei Zharkov, a deputy chief of the State Precious Metals and Gems Repository (Gokhran), in Khabarovsk on Saturday.

"During this meeting, Medvedev announced that he had signed a directive to representatives of Russia's interests to take part in a meeting of Alrosa's supervisory board, in which he nominated Andrei Zharkov for being elected Alrosa president for three years," Medvedev's press secretary Natalya Timakova told Interfax on Saturday.
