No one injured in nuclear sub fire in Severodvinsk - USC
MOSCOW. April 7 (Interfax-AVN) - Firefighters are extinguishing a fire aboard the Oryol nuclear-powered submarine of Russia's Northern Fleet, which is currently under repair at the Zvezdochka shipyard in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region, the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) reported.
"No one is injured in the fire. The nuclear reactor was shut down before the repair," the press service told Interfax-AVN.
"The fire broke out during welding works on the submarines hull," the press service said.
